The Dr. Berny Rothschild Foundation Endowed Excellence Fund @ Dell Medical School
The Dr. Berny Rothschild Foundation became a proud supporter of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin in early 2018. As part of the school's Founders Circle, the Foundation has joined a unique group whose transformational gifts benefit students, faculty and programs across the school. Specifically, the endowment will support and expand some of the school's unique Leading EDGE curriculum centered around Empathetic and Compassionate Care such as the Art of Bedside Manner.
Dr. Berny Rothschild Award @ UTMB
The Foundation established the Dr. Berny Rothschild Award for Compassion in Medicine which was conferred upon incoming fourth-year medical students at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston from 2012 - 2014. The annual recipients, chosen by the UTMB Nomination Committee, exemplified Dr. Rothschild’s legacy of compassionate medical practice and vowed to be an instrument of change throughout their medical career. The inaugural award was announced at UTMB’s Annual Scholarship Luncheon in Galveston on October 25th, 2013…nearly one year after Berny’s passing. Click here to learn about the recipients.
